A Purpose-Built Fall Adventure for Rivian Drivers
The Ridgeback Rivian Rendezvous: Fall Edition is a private, multi-day guided expedition
designed exclusively for members of the Northeast Rivian Club. Led by Ridgeback Guide
Service, this four-day journey travels from Southern Vermont into the Green Mountains,
combining foliage-lined Class IV roads, lesser-traveled backroads, and three nights of primitive
camping.
The route balances scenic driving, meaningful exploration, and skill-building with optional Blue-
rated features for drivers who want to challenge traction, line choice, and vehicle capability.
Ridgeback Guide Service manages trail flow, daily pacing, and rural charging strategy so the
group can focus on the drive, the season, and the shared experience.
What to Expect
- Fall Class IV Roads & Scenic Trails
Travel Vermont’s iconic Class IV roads and forest corridors during fall-color season,
combining Green-level terrain with select Blue obstacles that are optional and guide-led. - Professional Guiding
Ridgeback Guide Service leads the route, manages trail flow and charging logistics, and
provides real-time coaching for a confident, well-paced experience. - Primitive Camping & Campfire Evenings
Enjoy three nights of primitive camping with campfire wood provided where fires are permitted. Crisp evenings are spent relaxing, sharing stories, and preparing for the next
day. - Local Stops & Vermont Character
The itinerary includes curated stops at scenic overlooks, historic locations, country stores, and local food destinations that showcase Vermont beyond the main foliage routes. - Club-Focused Atmosphere
Built specifically for the Northeast Rivian Club, this private event allows for tailored
pacing, shared interests, and a cohesive group dynamic.

Gear Requirements
- Vehicle
AWD Rivian vehicle in good mechanical condition with functional recovery points and
trail-capable tires. - Recovery & Safety Gear
Basic recovery gear (soft shackles and recovery strap), tire repair kit, and first aid kit. - Camping Gear
Tent or vehicle-based sleeping setup, cold-weather sleeping system, camp chair, and
personal camping essentials for three primitive nights. Camping trailers are not
recommended and require advance approval. - Food & Water
Participants are responsible for all meals, snacks, and water. Planned stops may allow for
limited resupply. - Communication
GMRS radio (vehicle-mounted or handheld) required for trail communications. - Charging & Fall Weather Gear
Arrive with a high state of charge, bring required cables and adapters, and have the FLO, ChargePoint, and Tesla apps installed and tested. Pack cold-weather layers, sturdy
footwear, and rain gear for possible frost and changing October conditions.

Trail Ratings and Required Gear
Green Trails
Green Trail Rides (stock friendly)
Green level trips are our easiest trail type. These trips are typically on a combination of dirt roads and light trails. They offer challenges to stock vehicles and new drivers. Damage can happen but is not likely.
Minimum requirements
- 4X4 Street legal vehicle with insurance.
- Good tires (All Terrains or Mud Terrains preferred).
- Full size spare tire.
- GMRS Radio for Communications.
- Recovery points on the Front and Rear of the vehicle.
- Tire deflator for airing down.
- First Aid Kit appropriately sized for your vehicle and passengers.
- Appropriate Clothing and footwear for the conditions.

Blue Trails
Blue Trail Rides (moderate difficulty)
Blue level trips are for slightly modified vehicles and drivers who have been off road before. Vehicles will scrape and bang on these trails. Damage may happen occur on stock and lightly modified vehicles depending on driver experience.
Minimum requirements
- 4X4 Street legal vehicle with Insurance.
- 31-inch All Terrain or Mud Terrain Tires (good tread condition).
- Rock Sliders.
- Recovery points on the front and rear of the vehicle.
- Full size spare tire.
- GMRS Radio for communications.
- Basic tool Kit for your vehicle.
- Tire deflator for airing down.
- First Aid Kit appropriately sized for your vehicle and passengers.
- Appropriate Clothing and footwear for the conditions.

Black Trails
Black Trail Rides (difficult, experienced driver)
Modified vehicles only. Drivers must have experience and not be afraid to scrape, scratch, dent, or possibly damage their vehicle. These trips are meant to challenge the experienced off-roader.
Minimum requirements
- 4X4 Street legal vehicle with Insurance.
- 33-inch All Terrain or Mud Terrain Tires (good tread condition).
- Vehicle traction control or Rear Locker.
- Rock Sliders
- Recovery points, front and rear.
- Full size spare tire.
- GMRS Radio for communications.
- Advanced Tool Kit with spare parts for your vehicle.
- Tire deflator for airing down.
- First Aid Kit appropriately sized for your vehicle and passengers.
- Appropriate Clothing and footwear for the conditions.

Red Trails
Red Trail Rides (difficult, skilled driver)
Highly modified vehicles only. Damage is very likely to occur. A driver with extensive off road experience is required.

- 4X4 Street Legal Vehicle with Insurance.
- 35-inch All Terrain or Mud Terrain Tires (good tread condition).
- Vehicle traction control or Rear Locker (Preferably Front and Rear).
- Winch for vehicle recovery.
